I want the world to know that this towing company takes advantage of people that has no or very little experience in the auto repair and towing area. The company is not professional at all hidden fees for their convenience do not trust this company do not deal with them alone this is bad business

I'm writing this review to give some counterweight to some of the experiences related below.

I've been taking my 95 Toyota Corolla Wagon to R&R since 2010, and our 2007 Toyota Sienna for a few issues I was disappointed weren't covered by the discounted dealer service program we bought with it (battery replacement, shock replacement).

The thing I like best about R&R is they only suggest repairs that are absolutely needed. On the Corolla once a year I have them do a general inspection, because I want to make sure it remains reliable and safe. This request is almost pure "bait for suggesting unneeded repairs", but on none of the occasions they suggested anything major to be done because the car is fine. Very different from a previous shop where each year they would invariably find $500-$1500 of repairs (flushing/bleeding brake systems, old wire replacements, battery almost gone, struts/shocks, etc.). I will grant that maybe some day I will find out they missed something that should really have been fixed, but after three years the car is still reliable, so it seems unlikely (and I increasingly feel fleeced by the other shop).

The best example is last week where I asked them to have a look at the clutch because it had given off some smoke during an ill-conceived attempt to parallel park on a steep hill in San Francisco (I will find another spot next time rather than testing my reflexes with brake/clutch/stick shift coordination), and subsequently I believed to have noticed a little higher fuel consumption and possible somewhat reduced power. So they took it for a test drive and determined it works fine and the clutch has enough life on it. How easy it would have been to say, "Sir, you're very discerning, indeed the clutch was gone and we've replaced it for $600 (or whatever a clutch replacement goes for)".

Same on the Sienna; after the dealer said the shocks needed repair they questioned it and only after taking a really hard look saw that there was indeed a hole so it was a good idea to replace it now rather than later.

Then the other thing that's great is their location right next to the BART station I use every day. I can park my car on their lot, drop a spare key in the box, call them when I arrive at work to indicate what I want them to look at, call later in the day to hear verdict and pay by credit card, and in case I get back after they close, they will lock the car and leave the key inside under the mat. Perfect.

This garage and towing is great. I've been using them for years and have always been satisfied.

I work a few miles away and they will drop me off there or pick me up if needed. I haven't needed that but it's good to know they will do that.

Also they are open till 8pm which is great for me. I was able to go over there after work and have my spare switched out for a new rim I had to get from a salvage yard.

I recommend them to anyone. And I did recommend my Dad to them and he is going to get his smog done this week which is the best price that I've been able to find. Thanks Ravi!
